Mission and History
The VCU Real Estate Foundation was founded in April 1992
to accept, acquire, lease, sell or dispose, operate and/or
manage property for the exclusive benefit of Virginia Commonwealth
University and the Virginia BioTechnology Research Park Authority.
The VCU Real Estate Foundation is governed by
a Board of Directors consisting of no less than nine and
no more than 20 directors, two of whom are nominated
by the University's Board of
Visitors.
The university president and executive director of the Virginia BioTechnology Research Park Authority serve as an ex-officio voting members of the
Foundation. The University's associate vice president
for facilities management and associate vice president
for business services and treasurer serve as secretary
and treasurer, respectively, to the Foundation.
